The second edition of Kyiv Art Book Fairtook place in Kyiv at the Pavilion of Cultureover the first weekend of summer, bringing together independent publishers from Ukraine and beyond.

This year’s fair brought together 53 participants in the book section — 20 Ukrainian and 33 international independent publishers and authors — while introducing dedicated art, music and public talks programmes.

Over the course of three days, the public programme featured the presentation of Anha Zelena’s book DVRZ by Noha Publishing, the launch of the second issue of the Dnipro-based magazine POMIZH, the presentation of UKRAiNATV’s SANmagazine, alongside discussions, readings, and screenings. Special thanks to Valiz, ist publishing, Solomiya Magazine, ilostmylibrary, Terra Firma Magazine, Snobs Project, Baby Prod, Neotodresh Gallery, Liuk Media, STIGMATA, Zbirka Bookstore, and everyone involved in shaping the programme.

The art section brought together independent galleries and initiatives: Kruchi Gallery and Balconna Gallery presented works by emerging Ukrainian artists, while The Naked Room showcased a project featuring artists from the Nahirna 22 community, supporting practitioners navigating the loss of their working spaces and the search for new ones.

The music programme featured distributors ABO, Closer Connection, Entrall Music, and Octan, alongside the labels Kyiv Dispatch, PepGaffe, and Shukai. Over the three days of the fair, 10 listening sessions created a space for exploring music as a form of memory and cultural archive.

UKRAiNATV set up a temporary streaming studio throughout all three days of KABF 2026, building connections across the Stream Art Network and expanding conversations around experimental publishing practices across print and digital media.

We also beyond grateful to everyone who supported the fair’s fundraising initiatives, helping KABF remain a platform for both culture and solidarity! Together, we raised £3551! £2974 was raised through the sale of books donated by international publishers, proceeds were transferred to BASE UA. Another £577 was raised through donations in support of a unit of Victor Glushchenko — artist, soldier, volunteer, and one of the co-founders of the Pavilion of Culture.
