KYIV ART BOOK FAIR

11-13 Apr'25

Pavilion of Culture

Kyiv

Together with Biblioteka and Pavilion of Culture, we launched the very first Kyiv Art Book Fair (KABF) this spring. Serving as a platform at the intersection of art, design, photography, architecture, and theory, KABF focused on raising funds for grassroots initiatives supporting displaced people, rebuilding homes, and aiding evacuations.

Over the three days of the fair, we raised 159,135 UAH (3,390 EUR) through the sale of books generously donated by the international publishers, including BREADFIELD PRESS, IDOINE ÉDITION, Simple Editions, Valiz, NoRoutine Books, Sailor Press, Edition Haus am Gern, COLLECTIF ARISTIDE, Terra Firma, STIGMATA, ZONE6, HAPAX, ANAMOT PRESS, Multiple States, Architectural Association, EYESORE, Noel Faucett, Départ Pour l’Image, and others.

The fair brought together books from 23 independent publishers from the UK and across Europe, with all unsold titles from donated to libraries in Lviv, Odesa, and Kyiv.

Fourteen Ukrainian small publishers, artists, and photographers were invited to participate fee-free, ensuring meaningful representation and access. The public programme featured discussions, performances, and book presentations, all broadcast by the experimental media collective UKRAiNATV. The opening evening included a music programme curated by the Kyiv-based artistic duo crowd connection, with DJ sets by Sasha Dolhiy and Slava Lepsheev.

We made new friends, discovered incredible publications, and brought many of them into the Vsesvit shop.
