The Next Sound x IKLECTIK fundraiser brought together artists and audiences to support Ukraine.
Performing artists:
Zagaykevych’s works include symphonic, instrumental and vocal chamber music, electro-acoustic compositions, multi-media installations and performances, chamber opera, music for films.
In 1998 she created the Electronic Studio at the National Music Academy of Ukraine.
Composer, sound artist, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist working across contemporary ensemble music, electroacoustic composition, immersive spatial audio, sound installation, and music for visual media. She works with violin, voice, piano, hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, cytra, buchla easel, and different analog synths.
Musician and composer, founder of Nexsound records, director of NextSound festival, and music producer who has contributed greatly to the development of electronic music scene in Ukraine.
Holy Harm's practice focuses on genre-blending and rhythmic experimentation, drawing on broken beats, jungle, IDM, 2-step, chaotic breakcore, and bass-driven distortions. She has performed at events organised by Iklectik and Resonance FM, tours regularly across Ukraine, and contributes to UK-based fundraising initiatives in support of Ukraine.
London-based audiovisual artist, DJ and educator exploring real-time technologies to breaking point. His dark underground sound comes from teens spent immersed in dingy East London club nights and online during the Witch House / Cloud Rap golden eras. CSV’s music crosses genre boundaries by incorporating elements from Grime to Hyperpop as well as Glitch Music.
Through the tickets, donations and purchases from the Vsesvit table, we raised a total of £1,202.
£450 was distributed by Vsesvit, a London-based grassroots initiative building a space for Ukrainian resistance and solidarity, between the participating artists and volunteer groups in Ukraine. The remaining £752 has been donated to Hospitallers, a Ukrainian volunteer paramedics organisation working on the frontlines.
