2025 Wrapped: A Year of Showing Up
31 Dec '25
Across protests, cultural initiatives, and fundraising, we worked with communities, artists, publishers, and activists to keep Ukraine visible and supported.

In 2025, we co-organised and supported protests, vigils, campaigns, and public actions in London — from calling for increased support for Ukraine to standing against anti-immigrant rhetoric, and foreign political interference in the UK. We worked closely with Ukraine Solidarity Campaign, Campaign for Ukraine, Hromada Collective, and others.
We co-organised a large “Russian Troops Out” rally marking the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine; a “Stop Putin. Stop Trump” protest outside the US Embassy following Trump–Zelensky meeting; attended parliamentary meeting on Ukraine, the US, and Europe held ahead of the US elections.
We also organised the “1945–2025: Stand Against Fascism” vigil commemorating the Kindertransport, a major March for the Children of Ukraine to draw attention to the abduction of Ukrainian children, and protests against Seapeak near the Gherkin and against Reform UK under the banner “Stop Farage. Stop Putin.” In addition, we attended the sentencing of Nathan Gill to demand further investigation into Russian interference in UK politics, and supported EU-wide “Make Russia Pay” actions calling for frozen Russian assets to be used to support Ukraine.

A Bigger Book Fair, London, 2025
Together with Biblioteka and Pavilion of Culture, we launched the very first Kyiv Art Book Fair (KABF) this spring. Serving as a platform at the intersection of art, design, photography, architecture, and theory, KABF focused on raising funds for grassroots initiatives supporting displaced people, rebuilding homes, and aiding evacuations.
Over the three days of the fair, we raised 159,135 UAH (3,390 EUR) through the sale of books generously donated by the international publishers, including BREADFIELD PRESS, IDOINE ÉDITION, Simple Editions, Valiz, NoRoutine Books, Sailor Press, Edition Haus am Gern, COLLECTIF ARISTIDE, Terra Firma, STIGMATA, ZONE6, HAPAX, ANAMOT PRESS, Multiple States, Architectural Association, EYESORE, Noel Faucett, Départ Pour l’Image, and others.
The fair brought together books from 23 independent publishers from the UK and across Europe, with all unsold titles donated to libraries in Lviv, Odesa, and Kyiv. Fourteen Ukrainian small publishers, artists, and photographers were invited to participate fee-free, ensuring meaningful representation and access. The public programme featured discussions, performances, and book presentations, all broadcast by the experimental media collective UKRAiNATV. The opening evening included a music programme curated by the Kyiv-based artistic duo crowd connection, with DJ sets by Sasha Dolhiy and Slava Lepsheev.
We made new friends, discovered incredible publications, and brought many of them into the Vsesvit shop.
+ We’re already planning KABF 2026!

Raising funds for Ukraine through cultural initiatives in London remains central to our work. Through book fairs, collaborations, events, and the Vsesvit shop, we supported independent artists, makers, and publishers, strengthened the presence of contemporary Ukrainian culture in the UK, and generated funds for Ukrainian grassroots organisations.
Each book sold, event hosted, and space created formed part of a broader effort to support Ukraine—both materially and by ensuring its culture remained visible and represented.
